We were 1-for-4 with a man advantage and I would have liked us to have been 2-for-4. They really had two power-play goals, even though their second goal came just after the conclusion of a power play.
We did a good job getting the puck to the net while skating 5-on-5. We also proved that we are a well-conditioned team.
We can't pick who we're going to play in the finals. All we can do is play Cardinal hockey.
It will be good to have some time off. We played three games in five days and we have a few bumps and bruises.
We have to come out tomorrow and work just as hard. We have to bring our lunch pails.
If they would have scored another goal to make it 4-0, I was thinking about putting (Chris) Molinaro in goal to rest Craig (Neilson) for tomorrow night.
We did skate four lines and six defensemen and hopefully that will pay off for us tomorrow.
We were able to make it 2-1 and then Whitehead's goal took some of the wind out of their sails.
We were never able to get that all-important three-goal lead and knock the wind out of their sails. But, it was still a good win for us.
We gave up a late goal in the second period with five minutes left after giving up a goal late in the first. We need to get the puck in deep and stay out of the box in those situations.
What's good is that we still control our destiny in the conference. It's up to us to get the job done.
We came out tonight with a lot better emotion and played the body a lot better.
