It's everywhere, not just in Hawaii. But our feeling is that we're doing as good or better than other school districts in addressing the issue.
We've been looking at different types of alternatives to try to get people qualified. At the same time we're not willing to lower our standards.
We have to look at any and all sources of bringing teachers in. Teach For America has had a lot of success not only in retaining people, but also for being able to turn the performance around of the students they teach.
It'd be awfully hard for us to make 100 percent.
There's a lot of energy behind it and a lot of people who want to make it work.
