I was very pleased with how we swam. A lot of swimmers dropped time and showed they could handle (the pressure of) big meets.
I think the meet went better than planned. Most dropped time. Some who weren't even tapered for sectionals dropped time.
I thought that we made some strong swims. There were multiple (personal-best times).
She's been in the top 20 all season and the top 24 in the state (qualify for the state meet), and her personal goal is to get to the state level. If everything goes according to plan (at district), she'll get there.
After three years preparing for it, I think she's ready. I'm looking for her to go this year. I feel very confident that she will do it. Nothing is guaranteed, but judging by her hard work and her (positive) attitude, she deserves to go and will go to the state level.
Finishing runner-up to a powerhouse like Upper Arlington is a nice accomplishment.
