We wanted to at least try it. We played it for a couple of possessions and they hurt us out of it. As a team they are just very, very good.
I think in the first half we were looking to the officials for help. It was a very physical ball game and we didn't adjust. At this level you can't look for excuses. I thought we handled it better in the second half.
The biggest thing is handling the pressure. That seems to be the theme (Tuesday) night.
The next game, we have to shoot better. We still have some adjustments to make, but we are still playing.
We believe in each other. (It was important) to keep our composure. (During those turnovers) I kept thinking oh gosh, we are giving it away, we are going to give it away. But you've got to have confidence in the kids you put out on the floor.
The community has been incredible. Right now we are seeing signs around the community, just the support is extremely nice.
We kind of went into (the game) blind. We told the kids we were going to show up and lay it out (on the court), but in a lot of ways, it was a confidence builder. I didn't know what to expect, the kids played hard and very competitive.
This is a great win, especially since we were down at the half and facing adversity. These kids never quit.
