I was traveling in Virginia, South Carolina and Florida after the State Tournament. Before, when people saw a Rose Hill shirt they asked about O.J. (Mayo). This time, I was asked if I was coach of the little school that made it to the girls' state championship game. I'm not kidding.
We had some ugly times on the court. But we kept everything in perspective, and I'm so proud of these girls. We are a small school, but these girls showed a lot of heart.
The girls are getting to know each other, and it's showing on the court. One can't do it. Two can't do it. It takes the whole team.
We wanted to come in here and make some noise. We didn't want to be one-and-done. We have been under a microscope this year, but these kids have played well, and the chemistry is tremendous.
