In all honesty, it was one of the better games I've seen Whitney pitch in her career here. She was hitting her spots.
Abby threw a great game. And then Whitney came in and did a good job finishing.
I thought Luther did a great job playing shortstop. She made three really good plays... She's having a phenomenal season.
She threw an exceptional game. I also thought the defense did good behind her.
This time of the year we look at it one game at a time. We have the advantage of playing at home and we enjoy playing at our field. But Prairie Grove is a good team and it is very explosive.
Overall I was very proud of the way that we hit the ball, we just can't strand people like we did today.
Hutchins was hitting her spots, good off-speed pitches, and she did a great job today. She was throwing some stuff that she hasn't thrown so far this season.
Defensively I thought we played a very good game, and Abby Hutchins throwing looked like the old Abby today.
We played a very good softball team today. And I think we'll learn a lot from this game.
We came out and hit the ball extremely well today. Overall, I was very pleased. You hit the ball like that, and put 12 runs on the board against a team like (Elkins), I was very proud of them.
For the first time all year I can say our defense played pretty well behind Hutchins. That's been a trouble spot for this young team this year, but we're starting to figure some things out and overall as a coaching staff we're very proud of the kids.
She had a couple of pitches working tonight that she hasn't had so far this season. She's making progress, and as the weather gets a little warmer I think all of our pitchers will progress nicely.
Cold weather has effected her to this point. She wasn't extremely tough tonight as far as hitting her spots but she was effective.
She's exceptionally quick and extremely knowledgeable. She gets a great jump on the ball and is very aggressive. We're happy that Henderson State saw in Bailey what we've seen for four years.
We had a great practice yesterday. Very intense two hours yesterday, a lot of situational softball. It ended with batting practice and you can just tell that they're figuring some things out.
I thought we did good of putting the ball in play. In this game, you're going to leave runners on when you mix the short game in, which is what we do. We're going to mix it up, make every approach and make adjustments.
We faced a kid last night that threw different than what we saw tonight, so we had to make some adjustments.
Fayetteville is a great hitting ball club. We didn't hit our spots pitching wise. We were all over the plate.
We go all out for our seniors with a celebration between the games.
