It was kind of adjusting on the fly last year. There was not a lot of time to break yourself in, but our veterans were able to pick us up and carry us, or none of us would still be here the way we were going. I don't know if I was mentally tired or what, but it took me too long to adjust. My ship sunk too fast.
This could turn into a hunter vs. non-hunter issue (on both sides of the aisle), as some may feel that 8 years old is far too young, but it's really too early to predict. Previously, some Democrats proposed lowering it to 10, and some Republicans offered a proposal for no age limit, so perhaps age 8 is viewed as some type of compromise, I don't know.
A meaningful trip for all. I had not visited the home since age 12. I'm a new teacher at Stones River and can only hope the experience will last as long for our students as my childhood trip did for me. If our children don't know where we've been as a society, how can we know where we're going I was amazed at how attentive our kids were. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
