Songs Quotes

I don’t think there is one best Hall & Oates album. Truthfully, the most impactful albums to me are my solo albums. They’re the ones that matter the most to me because I liked the people I worked with.

I’ve always indulged in instrumental music, from the “Vienna” album, like the opening track “Astrodyne.”

When we play “Time for Me to Fly” in concert, it’s always one of those songs that gets a big response. It’s one of my favorite moments, because when I play those opening guitar chords,  everybody in the place stands, everybody’s got their lighters or cell phones up.

I wrote from life, how things were in my life. I never could understand why others didn’t write down what they knew.

It’s one of those kinds of songs that transcends generations. I didn’t use any trendy words…I think it made it timeless. (About “Gangsta’s Paradise”)

I love “Drops of Jupiter.” I feel like it’s everyone’s comfort song.
